Ron Zacapa Centenario 23 used to be known as Ron Zacapa Centenario 23 Años. Its name changed due to the confusion it caused, as people thought it was a 23-year-old rum instead of a blend of rums between 6 and 23 years old. --

- One male guest, who was a novelist, had this excellent rum on the rock.
. One writer loved this Rum and ..... after I finished reading that story I started wanting to drink this rum. Few months later, I visited my favorite Bar "Bar Five" in Shibuya at that trime I fogot this Rum's name. I asked one bartender "Can I get ..... I forgot the name but.. it may be rum or gin and the name contains ages .. like 20 years .. and ..yes, I want to drink it!" Soon he brought one bottle. "This may be the one you are looking for". It was "Ron Zakapa 23". And I tried drinking and soon felt how marvelous it was. Before I tried drinking this rum, Rum was, for me, just strong and too sweet. It was not worth having straight. But I thought it was not right. Some rum are really great.
