Connemara

Unique among Irish whiskeys, Connemara® is the only Irish Peated Single Malt Whiskey widely available today. Inspired by the 18th century art of drying malting barley over peat fires, Connemara® possesses a distinct peaty flavour and aroma, instilling a delicate smokiness and smooth, sweet taste. Its complex peat flavours and smooth, sweet malt taste make it a truly unique Irish whiskey. Connemara® is a highly decorated Irish whiskey receiving over 20 medals in major spirits competitions since 2012.

From Connemara -Connemara official aite-

CAOL ILA 12 Yrs - (burnt bacon + rich burnt taste) ≒ Connemara ? [Bar Dresden]

I like Islay whisky [smoky flavor and rich burnt taste]. And I did not expect I can feel same impression from Irish 'PEATED' whiskey. Yes. Its taste is too light to compare with Islay Whisky[Bowmore, Caol Ila, Laphroaig, Ardbeg...]. But I felt this Irish whiskey might have something in common with Islay Scoth Whisky 'CAOL ILA 12 Yrs'.

CAOL ILA 12 Yrs - (burnt bacon aroma + rich burnt taste) ≒ Connemara (^0^)

Don't you think so (^_^)?

That's the first time I've had this in a while [THE BAR BUDOUYA]

I bought this whiskey for drinking at home. I was intrigued by the tagline 'smoky' even though it's an Irish whiskey. While I felt that the 'depth' of the smokiness was different compared to Bowmore or Laphroaig, I still found it delicious. It would be nice to drink at a bar too. Maybe I'll buy it again.
