The expression was launched in 1987 and available until 1992 by when it was re-positioned as Johnnie Walker Blue, the world's No.1 ultra-premium blended whisky. Oldest is an exquisite blend, containing whiskies aged from 15 to 60 years. These old bottles are now extremely rare.

I was impressed by the quality of Johnnie Walker Blue Label, but I was aware of its predecessor, 'Oldest,' and it was a whiskey I had always wanted to try. After drinking it, I thought, 'Ah, it's exactly as delicious as I imagined!' I was surprised by its even more refined taste compared to the current Johnnie Walker Blue Label. This is really delicious.
