So many bars, so many drinks

G.E. MASSENEZ Marc de Gewurztraminer 90s

A marc released by G.E. Massenez in the 1990s. Grape variety: Gewürztraminer.

The noble aroma is wonderful. [Bar Jam]

Marc... I first learned about it through the comic 'Bartender.' Recently, I bought and tried 'Marc de Champagnes Moët & Chandon' on Rakuten... Compared to Cognac and Armagnac, I strongly felt something like the 'vitality of grapes'...

'Marc is a type of brandy made from grapes. It is a distilled spirit (eau-de-vie) made by re-fermenting the leftover grape skins, seeds, and other remnants from the wine production process, and then distilling them. It is said that the name 'Marc' comes from the French word for 'pomace.' As a side note, the famous brandies in France are Cognac and Armagnac, which are made from the grapes themselves, distilled, and then aged in wooden barrels.'

From Marc: A Drink Loved as a After-Dinner Drink -Climats-

Now, this aged Marc... beyond the 'strength of the grapes,' I felt something like the 'beauty, true worth, and nobility of the grapes.' If there is anyone who can drink such a fine wine every day after dinner... they must be the real deal in life—truly living the dream!
