So many bars, so many drinks

Glenfarclas 12 Year Old Cask Strength Batch No.5 Japan Exclusive

Ah, I guess I really do love whiskey [Aziza Paradise Hotel]

Ever since my first trip to Vietnam, I’ve made it a habit to bring a bottle of whiskey whenever I travel. I’ve brought bottles like Bowmore 12-Year, Nikka From the Barrel, and Dalwhinnie 15-Year in the past. This time, I brought this particular bottle. That said... when I checked the back bar at the hotel restaurant where I was staying, they actually had a decent selection of Scotch single malts. Maybe I didn’t need to bring my own after all? But then again, they didn’t have any cask-strength options, so bringing this bottle turned out to be the right call.

With the yen’s terrible exchange rate these days, even my favorite Glenfarclas 105 is no longer a reasonably priced drink. These days, I often find myself sipping other more affordable whiskies while gazing longingly at an unopened bottle of Glenfarclas 105 at home. For this trip, though, I decided to splurge and bought an even pricier bottle—the Japan-exclusive Glenfarclas 12-Year Cask Strength—and took it along.

Under the scorching sun, a cold beer tastes amazing, but a glass of whiskey on the rocks is just as satisfying. Then again, for someone who loves their drinks, pretty much anything tastes great! ( ̄▽ ̄)
