Approximately 150 years ago, Jack Daniel's began making whiskey. Carrying on the spirit of his craftsmanship, this whiskey is the only single barrel Tennessee whiskey in the world that is bottled from barrels that have reached optimal maturity without blending with any other barrels' whiskey.
The first time I tried Jack Daniel's was at an izakaya where I had the regular 'Black'. As a newcomer to whiskey, I ordered it at a bar too, but my impression was, '...it's okay... I probably wouldn't order it at a bar again.' However, I stumbled upon a 50-proof single barrel Jack Daniel's, possibly intended for duty-free shops, and being in a phase where 'higher alcohol content means better taste,' I bought it from Rakuten and tried it. That changed my opinion of Jack Daniel's to, 'Jack Daniel's is delicious!' I also tried the barrel strength version, which was tasty. This one here is the regular single barrel (45%) but it's also quite delicious. If you're not impressed with the regular Jack Black, I definitely recommend trying this one too.
