If you grew up in a home with a sideboard during the Showa era, chances are you saw a bottle of Royal Salute sitting there.

I was deeply impressed when I tried the Royal Salute Blended Grain at a bar, so I bought one for home drinking as well. But I just found out that there’s also a "Kingdom Collection" version. It was delicious.

I wanted to buy one for home, but... it comes with quite a price tag. If I ever come across it at a bar again, I’d love to have another glass. Truly a remarkable whisky.
