The “Ardmore 14 Years” released by the bottler Saltire.
For those who want to wander a somewhat different path in Speyside, this is a very nice, not too heavily smoky introduction to the peated drams.

Ardmore… have I had it for the first time? I’ve tried “Aultmore”, “Bowmore” and "Octomore" before, but the names are so similar it’s easy to get confused. My impression after tasting it was, “Ah, this is a flavor I like.” Maybe I’ll buy a bottle for home drinking next time.
I finished with a “pre-diluted whiskey with water” and it went down so smoothly, almost like drinking water. It might also be perfect as the first drink when visiting a bar on a hot day.
