I remember being deeply impressed by the Glenrothes vintage bottlings from the 1990s and the sherry bombs released by independent bottlers. But later, when I bought the official 12-year and the Robur Reserve for home drinking, I felt, *“This isn’t the flavor I’m looking for…”* and stopped drinking Glenrothes for a while. Then, by chance, I tried a 10-year bottling from an independent bottler at this bar, and it immediately hit me — *“Yes, this is the taste I’ve been craving!”* Simply delicious. It made me realize that what I seek in Glenrothes is both strength and sweetness. I’d love to drink it again.
