The iconic Glenfarclas 105, known as the signature expression of Glenfarclas, has been re-casked and further matured in a small bar cask—possibly reconstructed from a former Nikka Whisky aging cask, or perhaps newly crafted from reclaimed oak staves. Curious about its true origin? Why not ask the bar staff directly? According to the bartender, the “angel’s share” during finishing is insane.

That bold, sweet, and much-loved dram—Glenfarclas 105—a true favorite among serious drinkers. Lately, prices have gone up quite a bit, so at home I often end up doing a “Churchill style” thing—just looking at the bottle of 105 while sipping on something else (^0^).
But this… this was something special. Taking that 105 and giving it a secondary maturation in a mini cask behind the bar—this is the kind of “sacred experiment” only a professional bartender, captivated by the mystique of oak casks, would attempt. The result? Rich, intense, and absolutely delicious. If you see it at a bar and the price feels reasonable, I highly recommend giving it a try.
