YAMAGATA MASAMUNE Karachi (DRY) Junmai

This is the standard Junmai sake in our brand. The first impression you get from this sake is the round, rich, umami flavors and the sharp finish.

Sharp, dry but mildly sweet [SUAGEYA]

Before I visited this "Suageya Koiwa annex", I had read tee owner's blog. In that blog the owner said the "Suageya Koiwa annex" had different concept from that of "Original Suageya". At annex, concept was "light" and easy to enter without booking. In other words, some sake and food should be changed in order to serve them quickly. If there are a lot of "Sake", for insatnce, those who love Sake will stay Anex for a long time and that will prevent new customer from having a seat without waiting for along time outside. So I thought the "sake" there would be limited. And my guess was right. When I asked the staff what kind of Sake you had, she replied "Umakuchi(Sweet) or Karakuchi (Dry), which one do you like better?" so they just have two Japanese Sake. One is "Umakuchi". Another was "Karakuchi". And I ordered "Dry". And ... I drank this "YAMAGATA MASAMUNE Karachi (DRY) Junmai". And after drinking this Sake, I thought the owner did good job. Although he prepares only two Sake in order to make customer stay nice time with good food and drinks in a relatively short time, he chooses good Sake for those who love "Sake". This YAMAGATA MASAMUNE Karachi (DRY) Junmai" is actually dry. But you also feel mildly sweet taste. And it helps us to eat more foods. I like this combination of dry and mildly sweet.
