LAPHROAIG CERAMIC JUG -AGED 12 YEARS-

Prince Charles, Prince of Wales,,, you did make the right decision [Cask Dor]

For a long time I wonder why Prince Charles, Prince of Wales bestowed a Royal Warrant on Laphroaig Distillery in 1994? Till I had this extremely rare and tremendous whisky, my answer was that "He was an eccentric person. That is why he bestowed a Royal Warrant on Laphroaig." For me, Laphroaig was quite difficult to "understand" its flavor. But now I think he made the right decision. In fact Laphroaig 10 years and 18 years released in Japan was too difficult for me to understand. If you permit me to express their taste in one word, I will use a word "Dissonance". But after drinking this, my impression was changed. And in some web site, I knew that Prince Charles likes Laphroaig 15 years, which is not released officially in Japan and one bartender told me that In Laphroaig distillery, there are special casks which are used to mature special Laphroaig for Prince Charles. So I think Prince Charles mainly drinks the "special" Laphroaig 15 years. Is this right? If you know the truth, please tell me (^0^). Anyway this old and rare Laphroaig released in 70s/80s was quite different from the Laphroaig I used to drink(10yrs, 18yrs) . 120% different whisky. See the chart above if you wan to know my impression in details.
