The classic 12 year old blend from Dewars, this stuff is the successor to Dewar's "Double Aged" 12 Year Old - so named in reference to the additional six month marriage the whisky enjoys in oak after the initial maturation and blending. Well-balanced and light, easy to drink [Towser ]
When I tried drinking DEWARD 25 years Old at one Bar in Yokohama, I thought I should not have drunk any DEWARD but signature which I was so satisfied with when I tried at the Bar in Nishi-Asabu. But recently I had a chance to have DEWARD 12 Years Old. And my impression was more than "So-So". It is still right and too smooth but its well-balanced taste is excellent. Someday I want to compare 12 Years, 25 Years and Signature at one Bar. But 25 Years is expected to replace Signature. Thus it would be difficult to find such bars?
