Sometime in 1952, a woman and her new fiance came into Poor Red's BBQ to celebrate their engagement. They decided that a cocktail should be created in their honor. The couple and long-time bartender Frank Cline decided it should match the couple's newly-purchased golden Cadillac. After many trials and errors, Cline finally settled on the recipe now known as the Golden Cadillac.

Her boyfriend was once rich and he drove Cadillac. But finally he lost everything and she supported him. But he was dead. And his girlfriend worked very hard and became rich by herself. And the woman in front of him owned Cadillac and her own club's name was 'CLUB CADDY'. So the bartender Sasakura understood she was the woman whom his master bartender talked about. And Sasakura decided this cocktail for her. Really good story.
