ROCK OYSTER -BLENDED MALT SCOTH WHISKY-

Joining Douglas Laing's range of blended malts in early 2015, Rock Oyster is a magnificent maritime marvel made with single malts distilled on Scottish islands including Orkney, Jura, Arran and Islay. As ever from Douglas Laing, this tasty, coastal dram is very handsomely presented from top to bottom (looks like Sam will have to add an oyster to his imagination of The Douglas Laing Force).

Relatively soft and well organized [BAR BASHAMICHI]

Before having this beleded malt whisky, the bartender talked about 'BIG PEAT', which is released by the same bottler "DOUGLAS LAING'S", I expected iits taste had to be strong and characteristics. however, after having this, I felt "well-organized blended malt whisky". non! maybe the reason why I could not feel character was that I drank CAOL ILA 15 years released by GM.
If there is another chance to drink this, I should drink this more carefully so that I could find some character in it.

2nd time! [BAR BASHAMICHI]

"Smoky", "Chemical" and "Winey". This was 1st time for me to feel these three character at the same time drinking one whisky. This blended-malt whisky seems to have many character. Sometimes I felt "Ardbeg matured for short term" and "Highland Park 18 yrs" or Arran 18 Years. Each time you drink, she shows you different character. How interesting this whisky is!
