This is the blended malt whisky released by MURRAY McDAVID Whisky. This is made of "BOWMORE" AND "Laphroaig", distilled in 1989, had been matured in Bourbon hogshead and finished with Refill Sherry Cask. This is specially bottled in celebration of WHISK-E LTD'S 20 TH ANNIVERSARY.

Islay blended malt, matured for less than 31 years? Great! I was really excited when the bartender recommended this rare bottle to me. My impression was .... see the chart above. Yes I felt Islay whisky's flavor but it was not typical current Laphroaig and current Bowmore flavor. And I felt some "perfume" and "soap" inside its aroma that might come from "Bad Old Days" Bowmore. But it aroma was not strong. On the whole the aroma is mild and taste is smooth. Well-matured "Good Old Days" LAPHROAIG might play a major role.
